The community showed its support for Palisades High School’s Cybersonics Technology Team #103 on Saturday, May 4, by coming out “in droves” to raise money for the robotics club through Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR School program.
Local children’s author Debbie Dadey engaged 58 children and their moms, dads or other significant adults on April 25 when Fred Beans Family of Dealerships in Doylestown hosted Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day® for the children of its employees.
The Cybersonics Technology Team 103 of Palisades High School in Kintnersville in upper Bucks County has again partnered with Fred Beans Ford of Doylestown to present a test-drive event to raise money through Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR School program.
The theme for this year’s Take Our Sons and Daughters to Work Day® is Work in Progress, and sure enough, the Fred Beans gang in Doylestown is in the midst of creating a terrific midday event for the kids and adults participating in this – the 16th Annual Fred Beans version of the national program held the fourth Thursday of every April. Along with interviewing Chinese students who might wish to come to study in U.S. private high schools, I’ve been asked to prepare and present a 20-minute “model class” so that families would have an idea how American classroom practices and teaching modes differ from traditional Chinese classroom experiences. Local teen Isabella Johnson, 13, was an active and bright young gymnast before she contracted Lyme disease. The illness was initially misdiagnosed, and it took many trips to many doctors and medical facilities until it was finally identified as a 4th-stage neurological version of Lyme’s. Bella is now bedridden and her doctors do not yet know if the disease is reversible. Read the rest of this entry »
On Sunday, April 14, Fred Beans AutoRewards hosted 1,500 of its most loyal members for an afternoon of minor league baseball with the Trenton Thunder, a Yankees affiliate, at Arm & Hammer Park in Trenton, N.J. The Thunder played the Richmond (Virginia) Flying Squirrels, a Giants affiliate.
The Thunder concluded its four-game series against the Flying Squirrels with a 15-1 win. Go, Thunder!
Fred Beans Ford announces that it is one of no more than 900 Ford dealers nationwide that the manufacturer plans to certify to display, sell and service Ford’s current and future line-up of plug-in electric vehicles.
